Sesadi is designed not only for young adults but also for lifelong learners many of whom make their progress with community groups.
Sesadi aims to continuously link with more schools, Community and Adult Education groups of all sizes throughout Ireland and the EU.
transition year students
The Sesadi Project is designed to fit between the junior and senior cycle, perfectly suiting the Transition Year remit while encouraging and preparing students to attend third level.
There are 550 Irish schools offering the Transition Year programme. (Department of Education and Skills, 2020)
Sesadi will contact, and offer its service to, all of them.
Sesadi can complement the newest or smallest of Transition Year classes while also being perfect for schools such as Maynooth Post Primary in Kildare that have a longstanding and extensive programme catering for 180 students.
This school was fundamental in the piloting and development of Sesadi and are among the schools we are delighted to have taking The Sesadi Project in 2021.
All students entering, or in their first year of, third level education
The Sesadi College Ready series is aimed at post leaving certificate students, any student considering or preparing to go to college and all first year college students.
In Ireland alone, 78,000 college places were offered to 53,815 applicants by the CAO in round one. (CAO, 2020)
Sesadi can assist all of these students.
1 in 6 college students drop out in their first year. (HEA, 2019)
Sesadi uniquely addresses this continuously extremely high student drop out rate.
